Everyone's Invited to Lawrence County Recreational Park!

LCRP Open House

Lawrence County Open House Postponed

The Meet and Greet Open House at Lawrence County Recreational Park scheduled for April 25th has be postponed due to sour weather.

The purpose of the event was to get all the trail users together to get better acquainted with each others groups and needs. With trail preservation in mind we've decided to postpone until better weather. We are disappointed too, we were all looking for a great day of trail riding and hot dogs!

On another note, the meeting scheduled by the Miracle Ride is still ON for Sunday at LCRP. Contact Al Dillon for more info on this by email and if you have questions or comments on the Meet and Greet you can drop me a note by email. Thanks and hope we have better luck next time. -- Charlie

Mark Your Calendar for April 25th!

ABATE is hosting a Meet and Greet for all the users at our property Lawrence County Recreation Park (LCRP). Come for a day of riding and meet others who enjoy our beautiful property.

We realize organizing off road riders is like herding bunny rabbits, so we will make this brief and comfortable. Hot dog lunch at 1pm in the main parking lot. ABATE will provide the hot dogs and buns and some chips. You need to bring your own drinks and a lawn chair.

Our objective is to get every one more aquainted with the other users at LCRP. We realize all our riding groups want and need different types of trails so we are hoping by bringing every one together and discussing every one's needs we can make LCRP a better place for years to come.

We also want to include the street riders to come and get involved. Maybe when you see how much fun we are having in the dirt, you would want to add a dirt bike to your collection and get off road at LCRP. Off road is great exercise and can really build your riding skills for safer street riding.

Now we all know wet weather can be hard on the trails there, so if it's going to be wet, we will postpone to a later date. But think positive and lets all plan for a great day of riding and meeting new friends.

For more information, contact Charlie Williams (email) or watch here on the ABATE web site for more news.

Free hot dogs and dirt bike riding, what could be better?
