ABATE of Indiana Inc. Board of Directors Meeting
July 15, 2009 -- Lawrence County Recreation Park, Springville, IN

Executive Director Jay Jackson called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Everyone rose for the Pledge of Allegiance. Those present were: Region 00-Ray and Teresa Bodle, Region 01-Lisa Gordon and Wayne Kopec, Region 02-Jeff Willingham and Dave Frost, Region 03-Scotty and Amy Barker, Region 04- Jan Johns, Region 05- Joe Adams, Region 06-Sam George, Region 07-Dennis Tyger and Kenny Harris, Region 08-Terry and Charlene Penn, Region 09-Morris Kintner, Region 10- Lenny Stancombe, Region 11-Kenny Casey, Region 13-Aaron Meyer, State Office-Edie Seiler, Kim Tyger, and Tina McCormack, Operations Director-Gary Williams, State LINC-Mike Meyer, ABATE Products-Debbie Archer, Road Kill Road Crew-Dave Trapp, Security Bobby Coffee, Maintenance-Mike Seiler, Electrician-Bruce Proctor, First Aid- Steve Downing, and Entertainment-Frank Moyer (various other volunteers were on hand). Region 12 was unable to attend.

ITEM 1: Boogie preparations and LCRP property improvements were discussed.

ITEM 2: Handlebar height enforcement was discussed. Law enforcement seems to have increased enforcement on various laws pertaining to motorcycles due to increase in motorcycle fatalities while other motor vehicle fatalities are dropping.

ITEM 3: Mike Meyer stated that there are no issues going on at the state level at this time. Nationally, government is trying to pick up the Right to Repair Act. Check AMA and MRF for more information.

ITEM 4: Jay read Article 4 of the By Laws pertaining to the Operations Director (third reading).

This was the final reading of Article 4. The language will be added to the ABATE of Indiana By Laws.
